Hummmm, I don't really want to lug it down to not put it in. Plus I have to take my 7.5 back. Maybe not worth all the gas I will use to get er there.

Maybe I will skip. I already took off that weekend anyway.

I'll bring some cash though. Might want to buy some parts off you. I want to look at your paint and tar covered bed rails and I need a new driver side foglight for my 98-00 valence. And I want a 01-05 bumper and valence if you have one I might give you a deposit and pay the rest through paypal. Who knows. You might make some cash this weekend.

Lets see what everyone else says, we changed Clays front and rear axle at one of our meets. He was changing ratios.
I might have a 98-00 fog. I have a few but not sure how good they are, I know a couple have broken mounts. I have a brand new 01-03 front bumper and valance, and a edge grill and header headlights and corners...waiting for a truck to put them on.

hummm sounds like it is time for a 01-03 swap lol.

that would be cool.

but if not i defiantly try to piece together a foglight. i broke the 2 screws off that go into the back of the housing when i was aiming it. so i have a good mounting bracket, the housing is just broken.

i cannot wait for the meet!

side note: do i need to bring anything? not 21 otherwise i would pic up a 12 pack or something but maybe a 24 pack of coke or something. or just extra money to eat out or order pizza?

So do you guys want me to lug my 8.8 down and help me swap it? I don't have an impact wrench or compressor so the swap it not going to be fun in my garage.
Or we can just do the 1 inch BL for Chris.
I have no problem with it either way. I took off the whole weekend of the 15th to do it.
If you have everything ready to go it should be fairly easy to swap in your 8.8.
As long as you have all the hardware, u bolts and such.

Around 10 is fine, just bring what you want to drink and we can go get sandwiches or something when the time comes. They were predicting a high of 59 sat but they inched it up to 62 20% chance of rain. Ive got all day so if you want to bring the axle bring it. Don't forget gear oil...

So its just 2 bolts get it done the bed wont fall off. just drop the old bolts in the hole so the blocks don't fall.

I would MUCH rather do a 01-03 front end swap if that is on the table and John is willing to sell it to me.

I have the time and the stuff to do the axle at home but I defiantly don't have a full 01-03 front end to swap. Plus I REALLY REALLY don't want to haul that 8.8 down there and the 7.5 back. It makes me sag like crazy and I'm sure it will kill my gas mileage both ways. Plus if something went wrong I would be stuck in WV.

So John, how much would you want for the header panel, grille, head lights, and corners if you are willing to sell it? If you have a painted 01-05 front bumper maybe we can work out a deal on that to.

I am planning on running a DSG 01-05 front bumper with an unpainted black plastic 04-05 valence and fogs on it. Probably just get the valence and stuff from Certifit.

I would understand if you don't want to get rid of it though. Let me know!

I'm not actually trying to sell it, I will need it at some point. I just bought the bumper and valance on my last trip to certifit. The edge grill, corners and header is from Scotts truck and I bought the headlights from ebay. I am missing the headlight sliders, fog lights, bumper mounts and powerdome to complete the setup.

the little metal clips that hold the headlights in I would assume.

bad news guys, being a college kid and all, funds are a tad tight. and the money i had set aside for this trip has to be put towards something else. :( most of it is because i had an unexpected trip back to maine two weeks ago because my girlfriend was in a car accident. hope you guys are going to have another meet soon, maybe i can make it to that one.
