04 on 40s

I got a 04 on 40s with the 4.0 an automatic and 4wd. It’s pretty sick and the biggest ifs 4wd ranger in the country rn I’m rocking 4.10s and wondering what gears I should run since I’m 4wd the deepest I can go is 4.88s but it’s my daily. What’s y’all’s suggestions

Looks good

I guess Georgia doesn't enforce fender rules, lol

With 40" tires I would get 5.13, for sure
That would calculate out to 3.73 ratio for transmission and engine power range, which was the common ratio for Rangers, so it would "drive" normally as far as shifting and power band

I would also look at doing an Explorer 8.8" 31-spline swap with those size tires if you haven't already

I see you're running adapters to run those 8 lug wheels. Hopefully you have newer unit bearings up front because you'll find out pretty quickly why people don't run 40's on IFS Rangers.
