2011 ETX Ranger
2011 ETX Ranger
Hello, my name is Jim. I just bought my first truck. Dont have enough money to buy a new pickup so I looked for a used Ford Ranger with XLT trim and 4x4. Looked for over two months and travelled over three states. Spent untold hours on the internet looking for new postings. I finally found what I was looking for, this is it:
A 2011 Ranger, XLT, 4x4, one owner, traded in for a new Ranger at the same dealership where he bought the 2011 and had it serviced by the book at the same dealerhip, showroom condition inside and out, Firestone tires two months old, battery three months old, and the best thing.....19,437 original miles!
I will continue the question I have in a different thread on this forum.

Welcome to the forum Jim
Very nice find.
Good work and good patience to find the guy who had YOUR truck after all that time, lol.
Couple of thinks to do
Shift into 4high, then 4low and then back to 2WD once a month, don't have to move the truck, just shift it, this will keep Shift Motor on the transfer case clean and lubed
If it sits for 10 months a year it may not work when you actually need 4WD
Reverse heater hoses at the firewall once a year, this applies to all vehicles, heater cores can be hard to change, have to pull out the whole dash board on some models
Reversing the flow thru the heater core helps keep it clean, push out any larger debris the way it came in, keeps the core coated in the anti-corrosion chemicals in the coolant
