'90 XLT in Lil' Rhody (RI)

Hello all-

I'm the owner of a 1990 Ranger XLT that, at current, is bone stock. With over 264k miles on the odometer, it still starts right up and goes pretty much where I need it to. But New England is not kind to vehicles, and this old truck is pretty rough. Since my 8yo daughter has fallen in love with this truck, I'm opting to bring it back from the edge of the fate it will inevitably face. Plans include a lift kit, motor swap, snorkel, safari rack, upgraded brakes, front/rear end upgrades, waterproof interior, current gen lighting/electronics, transmission swap, etc.

The one thing I've come to realize is that although Ford literally built millions of these trucks (including of course the Bronco II), aftermarket parts are scarce at best. Hell, I had more luck finding parts for my '72 International Scout II. Regardless, this is promise to my daughter that I intend to see through, so on her 18th birthday, I can hand her the keys to a one-of-kind vehicle that we can both be proud of.

I hope to get a chance to meet some of you on the trails! Happy 'wheeling!
