im new to this site and have viewed it a few times b4 and have finally decided to join. my very 1st car was a 91 ranger ext cab 4.0 like the title says. my dad bought it for me when i was 15. he past away in may 2000 but i have kept it no matter what. like any older vehicle its had its issues and being young and dumb, i would park it and buy somethin else when it broke down but no matter what had happened to it and after i bought a new car i went back to my ranger when the new thing tore up to, hence y its back from the dead.... again! the last time i drove it and had it running was when it was wrecked back in oct 2000. its taken me quite a few years obviously but im actually making some progress on it. it was wrecked by a 98 contour hitting my driver side back axle and throwing me in a tree so its been a lil harder to fix it this time. i went to my local family junk yard and bought a whole new ranger to put my cab, engine and trans in it but when i got it home i realized they cut all the cross members to take out the engine and trans so the frame was now worthless. i took it back and later on found a 92 ranger ext cab w/ a 4.0 and it was 4wd. i didnt hesitate to take this 1 home so i could trade out my engine and cab. this is gonna be a fun project and i am looking to do some new things w/ it. any advise, hints or ideas would be greatly appreciated. so far i have thought abt giving it a lift w/ f150 coils and springs but not 100% on how to accomplish that or what other mods i would have to make along w/ it. so any help would be great and i am always looking for more ideas that i could make this ranger better than ever! thanx for reading.
