Hi everybody. I've been rebuilding my baby 94 Ford Ranger 4x2 XLT Splash 2.3L California emissions which means it's a big pain in my a$$. At 260 thousand plus some miles just did a bottom end rebuild.
I love this forum for lots of insight on how to get better performance what to do and not to do....so I look forward to being part of this community.
BTW I'm a amateur mechanic also nobody else touches my truck...lol.

Well I live in Va so it dosent matter so much for me...and then the county I live in doesn't do emissions which is good because my cat is gutted (don't know how that happened ooooppps) and I have a straight out glass pack I get better overall engine functionality.

And not to sound too blonde...what is E-4?

 

E4 is a paint color code for the bright red rangers.

 

Okay see still learning. I have not decoded my door sticker yet but yes it is. Minus the two front quarter panels and hood. When I bought it it had been wrecked so had minor damage. I changed them out and primered them. so it is red and grey. I have not decided on a new color yet think I'm going with Diamond chip black and some form of pin stripe not sure yet.
I have also upgraded my rear shocks to the dual coiled over. With 2 in lift leaf springs in rear only. I've installed retro lights rear but changing our for the black out lights front is done waiting on my new ones now. And installing HID in about a month.
My only real issue is I keep getting a code for TPS VSS EGR solenoid. But my engine light never comes on. But being an obd1 That is the while the engine running stored code I guess. Any input on that.
