Well I joined the Ranger crowd today. Picked a 88 Ext cab Ranger 4x4 2.9L auto today. Got it from a guy at work for 500 bucks. Body is straight, paint okay, interior good for its age and the 2.9L is shot. Now I know the 2.9 isn't the best engine and I have heard about doing 4.0 swaps but I am having trouble locating solid leads about doing it. Well look forward to seeing everyone around.

the 2.9 and 4.0 are both cologne v6's the 4.0 will bolt in to your mounts and trans. autos got a stronger od and some came with 8.8 axles in the back which your truck wont have.
