b3000
b3000
Hello Folks..RangerSE here. Just joined. Over in Massachusetts where winter is beginning. Bought a Mazda b3000 from a guy in work. Have been working on it. Has 98877 mi and very clean body and frame. Replaced starter, shocks, brakes all around. Will clean mafs, throttle body etc. Tires and battery on the way. Anything I have learned happy to share. You all may know that these Mazda's are in fact Rangers. The 2500,3000,4000. Maybe others as well. Ford/Mazda on these since 94 I believe. Everything about this truck is Ford.
Welcome to the forum
Yes, the Chicken Tax finally stopped Mazda from importing small trucks and in 1994 they just used rebadged Rangers made in the US at Twin Cities Assembly Plant
The B-series were made there until 2009, last Model Year
Ranger were made there until 2012, their last year

RonD right ,cool. Never heard of chicken tax,ha! I was over at a Mazda site and some suggested this one because of this fact. Most of my questions were general but they were helpful. This site/forum is packed and detailed will take time to navigate and read. Have done r&r on as I mentioned. I have bled brakes. Engine off good pedal;eng on soft pedal. Thinking abs will need bleed.Reading and learning about that. There are market scanners under$200 that do the trick from what I have seen. Anyone have any experience with this.
