In the process of trading my VW Golf for a Ford Ranger

New to the forum. A little about me. Was a truck guy all my life. First vehicle was a rim racked 1986 Dodge ram. that a Cape Breaton fishing company owned. The truck went off the end of the dock into the water so i got it CHEAP. I replaced the engine, radiator and tore out the carpet as it smelled like baby poo because of the stagnated sea water, painted the floor with bed liner and enjoyed it for a few years till i moved on to a 2001 Chevy Silverado that was owned by the local cable company. Got that one for a really cheap price as well. I unfortunately got posted to British columbia for a short time and sold the Silverado. I bought a Brand new 2009 VW Golf when i was in BC and it suited my needs at the time. Since i have been home my VW Golf was just not cutting the mustard for my hunting fishing expeditions so i needed an upgrade badly. After getting stuck in the mud two days ago and needing to be pulled out. i went on a quest. Shopped around a bit and saw this Ford Ranger that needed a new driver. It is a 2010 and 4wd. 6cyl automatic. I always wanted a Ford as my grandfather would own nothing else. I get to pick up my "new to me" truck on monday or tuesday. They were asking $12k for the truck and gave me $5k trade in for my 09 VW which is well worn to say the least. So i am happy. Glad to see this forum is available for info.

Adam
