What i did today:

1) Wash with Dawn
2) Mothers Clay bar
3) Wash with Dawn
4) Zymol Wax

I finished it off with the Zymol because it was getting dark and i needed to seal it up before i drive it in the morning. Zymol said it would remove swirl marks anyway, but doesnt at all. So i need to be watching for a swirl remover to purchase. Tomorrow i'm planning on washing it with Dawn again to remove the wax, using the Megulars #2 Polish, and waxing it again. One step i did forget to do today was to use the Pre-Wax cleaner that was packaged with the clay bar kit. Think this would make a noticible difference in my finish?

Anyway, it's looking very good (besides the swirls) and can't wait to see how it looks when i finish it up tomorrow! And yes i will post pics.

Oh, and about the clay bar. I never actually heard the sound it was making while i was using it. Wowak said it made a sound. The only sound i heard was when i went too far with it off of the spray. And i probably shouldnt have did this but i was trying to finish this up before it got too late and started going crazy with the clay. (long swipes with it).

But that was my experience! Sorry for the mouth full i just had to get it out!

Meguair's has a product called Scratch-x which i've found to work wonders on small scatches, stuff embedded in the paint, and even light swirl marks. Might want to give it a try.

The Zymol was supposed to help swirls, but I found that it didnt.

I do but I needed to strip the wax off before i put polish and wax back on it. The wax the first time was supposed to help swirls.

Looking good. The part I hate most about claying my truck is that I find all the little chips, dings and scratches I didn't know existed.

Yup, it also tends to bring them out more.

Wow, I can tell a big difference from your other pics. How long has it been since you have waxed?

Did you compare them with my car domain pics?

I waxed last summer but didn't prep it correctly.
