Ditched the Heap for an '09 Ranger
Ditched the Heap for an '09 Ranger
Greetings all,
I'm picking up an incredibly well cared for stock '09 XLT 4x4 V6 later today. Previously owned by an old electrician to get to and from work via the highway. 103k miles, one owner, all maintenance since day one has been recorded. Just wondering if there's anything I should do or not do to this vehicle, besides regular maintenance, to increase longevity and comfort. Mostly commuting, towing a small dinghy, and light off roading to get to the good spots in the mountains.
What's the best after market product resource for these Rangers?
Cheers *****,
Scott

Keep all the nooks and crannies clean on the under carriage so rust doesn't start.
Remove the front inner plastic fender wells and wash the dirt out.
Spray the boxes inner fender wells between the box and the fender well, they're not removable, but you can still get a garden hose in there.
Use some sort of rust preventative oil in these areas.
It's black so keep it out of the sun if possible.
Park it out of the weather _ at least a car port when at home.
You're Colorado, so lots of snow ???
Keep your allow wheels clean from salt.
Oil your hinges and catches.
