downgrading to a ranger and pumped about it!

Hi everyone,

Ive been driving a 2008 dodge ram 2500 diesel 4x4 for the longest while. Why i got into that thing, well, im not exactly sure. Im a 9 to 5 computer administrator, so its not like im in the oil patch and need a big truck like that. Anyways, the thing is killing us with the monthly payments and oil changes (265 per shot). Its to the point where my wife and i, living in my dads basement while shes in uni, arent saving any money at all because of the behemoth. Problem is because its in an upside down loan, its been next to impossible to get out of it. I went down to the ford dealer today to explain my situation, seeing if there was something they could do to help me. Theyre looking at getting me into a finance on a 2011 ranger sport 4x4. Ive always liked these little trucks and so has the wife, so im pumped to be getting into one.

Anyways, i look forward to posting my future adventures with it on here. Hopefully all goes well and we get into the payment range were hoping for with it!

Vista Blue.

Also going with extended cab, 4 litre with the auto trans. I know the 4 litre is a little harder on the gas, but honestly, after only getting 8 mpg aroudn town in a diesel, which i thought was supposed to be better, and that thing had a modded exhaust, i think this will be better. That and i had a 4 litre in my old 93 explorer which took a beating and it still went.

Well, today is the day we find out whether or not we can get into this thing. Weve done absolutely everything we can on our side with a downpayment and such. Now its just a matter of waiting. Everybody at the dealership seemed optimistic but then again, they dont have any sway with the bean counters.

Im sc-sc-sc-scareded!
