Have you replaced fan clutch? Your not getting water in oil or oil in the water are you or smell anti-freeze in the tailpipe? just a thought

i have put on new water pump checked the fan clutch, it is ok. put on rebuilt radiator also put in 4 thermostats total.if it sets and warms up 20 minutes befour driving it works ok but if you start driving when it is cold it will blow the water into the reserve tank and temp guage will go to cold then to hot and back to normal and then it levels off to normal and the reserve tank is about 80 percent full of coolant and bubbles all the time. we thought when we replaced the water pump that was the problem because it was warnout on the inside but it didnt stop it this is the first 3.0 i ever had that did this

i know what the problem is. its a 3.0! what you need to do, is unscrew the radiator cap off, and screw it on to a new 4.0 or better yet, a new truck.
naw, just kidding. it has symptoms of air in the line. try running it on idle for a few minutes to with the rad cap off. i can't remember if there is a purge cap in those years or not.

It will fit but I am not sure what else you will have to change. Do a search on here Im sure its been done before. The 4.0 is a better engine anyway.

that sounds like a great buy to me, the ford 4 banger can hold its own, and it gets decent mileage too. just don't expect to pull anything like your 3.slow will.
