Druss and the ‘87 ranger

Hey I was happy to find we have our own forum! I’ll definitely have to come here often. Some topics I will be talking about and trying to do are installing ac in my ‘87 if I can, it did not come with ac and it sure would be nice to have it. Another thing is I am having a hell of a time finding a shift **** for my ranger. My previous one was wood, and after it sat for a year due to an electrical problem, and with its age and use, it rotted slightly and I removed it, my shifter doesnt have threads however so that makes it a little difficult to find a new shift ****. I have thought about using a die and threading it myself so it can work, but I’m not too sure how much I am willing to do that, currently, my shifter has a sort of 15 or so point star at the top, and the shifter is 15mm in diameter. if any of you know where I could get a shift **** that would fit that, let me know, if you think it’d be impossible to get a shift **** to match that, let me know and I will just thread it. I also need to do some small repairs to the tailgate hinges and one of the cables. Other than that the thing runs well, though I’d not take it over the rocky mountains on its best day. I’ve had this truck for roughly 7 years, I got it when I was 16 and I am now 23. I’d love to hear from others and see pictures of their older rangers. Ever since I started driving a ranger I fell in love with them. Can’t say I like any of the newer ones beyond the early 2000’s however. I look forward to being a part of this forum.

My sexy, beautiful ’87 ranger. 2.9L V6 that is unfortunately 2wd, but I love it nonetheless
