Engine problem

Hi. I have a 2001 Ranger with the 3.0 V6. I recently had a OBDII code of P0135 oxygen sensor code. I replaced the O2 sensor. Now at 3,000 RPM engine starts to dog down, shudder and almost die. It will not go above 3,000 RPM. No codes, checked plugs & wires all okay. Has anyone else run into this one? Appreciate any help.
