Hello
Hello
Hi,
I just joined to find a solution to a problem with my Ranger but I will first do an intro.
I have a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT two-wheel drive with the suicide doors, 5 speed, and 3.0, in addition to my wife & daughters two Subaru Outbacks, and my two classic Chevy's.
I just started working on cars in April 2023 after about 35 years of focusing on my careers, being a wannabe home contractor in my spare time, and doing mostly nothing with vehicles by relying upon professional mechanics. Last year I almost bought my #1 dream car, a 2010-2012 Jaguar XKR convertible, but after learning about Jaguar's new world-wide business model, I pivoted to my #2 dream car, and going back to my teenage and early 20's years, a 1962-1963 Chevy Impala. i dove head-first back into wrenching with the purchase of 1962 Chevy Bel Air, a 1967 Chevy Chevelle, and all the parts to swap the 62 from a 327/auto to a 409/4-speed. The 67 Chevelle is to be sold in about 2 hours so I will have just the 62 Bel Air and the Ranger. It has been interesting remembering what to do on the Chevy's, as the Ranger is trouble-free with the exception of a burned out brake light that was pointed out to me by a local police officer. :( And,the burned out brake light is what brings me to this forum so I will go write that post now.
