New guy from Ohio - just bought a 2011 Ranger
Hello ranger forums. My name is Scott and I'm from Pickerington, OH, a suburb of Columbus. On Friday I bought a 2011 Ranger 2wd XLT in Vista Blue Metallic, with the 2.3L and 5 spd manual. I looked long and hard to find the color/cab/engine/trans combo I wanted, and I had to drive a couple hours to buy it. I've put almost 300 miles on it since Friday and so far I love the truck!
Required awkward picture next to truck first:
To tell you a little about me, I graduated from OSU earlier this year, and once I started working I sold my old truck, a 97 Dodge Dakota with 274k miles on it. Once that was gone I pretty quickly started looking for a ranger to replace it. I've been a car guy all my life, and I do a lot of my own work (outside of warranty that is). My other car, my "fun" car, is a 1993 Dodge Stealth. It's a never-ending project that I've put waaaay to much time/money into. Here's a couple pictures of it too:
Anyway, that's me. I've been reading up on ranger info now that I have one, and this forum looks like it should help a ton with that.

My shirt was Ford Fusion promotional freebie, and it says that it "Sips fuel, but Devours Camrys and Accords" :)

As far as my plans, I'm going to get the bed Line-X'd within the next couple weeks, and buy some weathertech floorliners once they're released for 2011s. Apparently they changed the way the mats anchor to the floor on the 2011s... so I'll have to wait for them to offer the revised design. Aside from that I don't plan on anything crazy. Maybe adding a cargo light, and maybe a BAKflip hard tonneau cover. Down the road who knows.... it will probably get some appearance mods eventually, we'll see.
I mainly just plan on driving it and enjoying the mileage and "newness". I do a lot of camping/fishing, so I've always enjoyed having a pickup, and the ranger is my first new car purchase ever.

It's actually the garage for the Recreation and Physical Activity Center or "RPAC", on OSU's campus. It's I believe the largest of it's kind with something like 15 basketball courts, an olympic size pool, a small track, tennis courts, etc. etc. etc. all under one roof!
