Hello from the land of Potatoes

Ello! I'm TJ, I am from the wonderful state of Idaho. I do a lot of camping, shooting, fishing, you get the idea. Recently my grandfather has given me his 1999 Ford Ranger XLT, he bought it used in 2002 if I remember correctly.

He has daily driven it for many many years so first thing I'll be doing is of course. gaskets. The only thing that's been done to this truck is the regular maintenance and she still runs smooth, oh and a bed shell.

I personally want to do a diesel swap, maybe a Cummins repower or maybe ill find a nice little diesel from the junkyards. But, that'll be a while. in the mean time I'll just be keeping it simple and make it an endurance machine. Hopefully I can do that soon and hope yall enjoy my journey. If anyone knows a bit about doing such a swap I'd love to talk!

Amen to that! gaskets, lines, hoses, and a new clutch are all my first ""mods"" everything on that truck minus the belt and the oil filter is the stuff it came with in 1999, I don't particulary trust 19 year old hoses.
