Hello to my fellow ranger owners

Hi, Thanks for having me as member here. I'm not new to rangers, I've owned a 99 XLT 3.0 RWD 2D 130.xx miles near perfect condition for over 5 years Just sold that and replaced with a 99 XLT 4.0 4X4 4D, 128,xxx miles, great mechanical condition with some cosmetic issues. Also just bought another 2000 XLT 4X4 4D with a 3.0 125,xxx miles great overall condition yesterday. I will be picking some of your brains soon, as the 2000 has a few minor issues. Power mirrors not working, cruise control not working and power door locks also not working. I have not had a chance to look at any of these issues yet, may be very simple fixes. Looking forward to getting to know some of you on here. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum

Power mirrors use Fuse #1, 7.5amp in cab fuse box, its hot all the time, not key on only power
Door locks, Fuse 18, 15amp

Does the cruise turn on, but just not work, or does it not respond at all to the buttons?
Those steering wheel buttons do break pretty easy

And you can get your owners manuals here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...1-models-3747/

Had a little time to checkout the 3.0 issues, all the fuses are good. Power locks are trying to work, just need lubed up maybe. power mirrors not even trying will have to check out the switch, it seems a bit wonky. Cruise control does not respond at all. found out how easy they break this morning in the 4.0 cruising down the road went to hit coast for slower traffic ahead and the switch broke loose form the steering wheel.
