Nice truck, you don't see too many with factory steel rims, all seem to be alloy.
The problem with alloy wheels are they require more maintenance to keep them from corrosion, especially in salty areas.

 

 

Don't let your friends bully you into getting something you don't want, if you like the steel rims, then stand your ground.
There are chrome skins for those, but it's bit over-kill IMO.

Here's what they look like colour matched to the truck with new hub caps and tires.
I like the old school look of painted rims, plus the narrow tall tires (but not most guys cup of tea).
Everyone always wants these huge fat over sized tires _ I never liked that look.

 

Here're the skins _ some are a little different.
They're just plated plastic, so they're pretty inexpensive, but they last quite a while and when they do finally wear out, you just replace them.
They're just like all the chrome plated plastic on modern vehicles.
