So bought my first ranger over here in England. But a lot of the UK based forums are pony, so I decided to come here
this is my ranger, not sure if any one can help me mod it
, as its looking VERY standard
That's a South American/Brazil Ranger, we couldn't get those here in North America, we never had the crew cab type "4-door" models
Also more diesel engines, our last diesel Ranger was 1985
What year is it?
And what drive train, diesel/petrol, manual or automatic?
Looks to be 2WD
I thought the south american was a different one entirely
This a 2006, 5 speed stick shift. with a 2.5ltr turbo diesel engine
it comes standard with a second gear stick to change from 2WD (rear) to 4WD high or low

Nope, There's the North American version and the Everywhere else version.

Now you're just bragging, we couldn't get a diesel, or the double cab, and the manual shift transfer case is extremely rare here.
Front end parts might be swap-able but don't know for sure
In 2011 Ford started make the T6 Ranger internationally, which was slightly larger than previous Ranger
Do any of you guys have any recommendations on a average/decent lift height and maybe alloy/wheel sizes?
any photos similar to mine would be cool to look at
cheers!
Great looking truck!
Too bad we we didn't the choice of a true 4 door rig here back then.
I'd love to see a good pic or two of that lower bar in the rear.
I've never seen anything like it.
Depending on what your final vision for the truck will be you could change the hood and grill combo.
They are more conservative and reserved and a little more retro than the versions we see here, but they may provide slightly better visability.
The suspension should be the same.
You could de-chrome it if you want it to have a tougher look.
If it doesn't have a limited slip 8.8 rear axle consider getting one.
The one I'm building for my truck will have 4.11 gears and a Trutrac from Eaton (Helical gear style) in it so no clutches or cones to wear out.
If you can use blacked out headlights there then do it.
Same goes for the tail lights. Ebay has them.
Using LEDs instead of bulbs would be a good upgrade.
I replaced all mine with leds from Auxbeam and have been very happy with their performance.
I used green ones for the instrument cluster which is pleaseant to look at and they are very well lit now.
Greasing the front hub bearings would be a good idea.
Just remove the tiny screw where the abs sensor fits into the bearing, pull the sensor out, and using a grease gun with the tip removed you can squirt a large anound of grease in the hole then screw the abs sensor back in.
Wipe any extra grease away.
The front hub bearings will last much longer if you do this.
Lucas Red N Tacky is a great grease.
