Hi! New here with a Dodge Dakota Ranger Conversion
Hey. Purchased this Dodge Dakota a few months back because I couldn't find a Ranger.
So I tore it down, purchased the Ranger trim but couldn't get it to fit. So I did some custom body work to make it all fit which was A LOT of $$$$$ and took a little longer than expected but the end result was pretty good if I must say.
Then the stupid Dodge 4 banger had this PCV valve that was so easy to replace, I decided to drop a 2.3l into the thing so I could wrench on something worthy of my wrenching skills. Boy did that suck getting that 2.3 to fit but it was way easier than getting to that damn PCV valve. I still can't get to it but I think I may eventually succeed.
After that I then I got all the Ford emblems and made sure to get this giant one to put right on the center of the tailgate, because I didn't want anyone to know I was really driving a Dodge. Nothing against Dodge, but I just wanted a Ranger and it only put me back about 45k or so to convert.
I highly recommend this conversion to anyone having trouble finding a Ranger. But to be honest, if I had to do it all over again I'd start with a Volvo because they are safer.
