I'm Mike dba here as lees15, got an 02 Edge that put me through nightmares when I got it because of a tiny bulb in the dash that even Ford said was not there, but the truck gave off all kind of warnings because it was burned out! Finally found the bulb at Advance (they said they did not have it),posted the info on the forum, replaced the buld and my truck and I were very happy....til now. Anyway, I live in Tampa Florida, I'm a disabled Vet with 2 rugrats, one of whom has a seizure disorder and as this truck is our only ride, I need to get to work! If you are thinking of tweaking torsion bars to raise your truck, I think this was done to mine by the po,, and my front suspension has been eaten in only 7000 miles of strictly street use! 4 ball joints, all bushings on the stabilizer bar, break pads, and I don't know what else yet, these looked perfect when I had the tires replaced only 7000 miles ago and now they are dangerous to be on the road. I came here to have "fun in the sun" as they say around here, with what I got left, but my little ones and my ranger tell me it is time to get greasy and sweaty again. (remember when you were young and you couldn't wait to grow up so you could run your own life?????????) I'll shut up and see if I can get this thing to post and I'm off to the forums.......

Hi, this is mike again, and I found out what killed my front end. If anyone reads this, check your shocks real close. Everything else on this truck checked out to factory specs, with no maintainance done at all. the PO did not even change a bulb but drove the truck into the ground. Anyway, my shocks were in terrible straits, and are the only thing I can point at for all the trouble I got. Torsion bars were at factory settings. But with the shocks gone, everything else took the speed bumps the trailer park I live in loves, and ball joints, sway bars, etc. died. Good luck out there, it's a mad mad world!
