Jerking problem

Hello. I'm looking for information about my 2002 Ford Ranger 4x4. It's been jerking when I stop and take off from a stop. Does anyone know what this problem could be and the cost to fix it. My Ranger currently has 167,000 miles on it; tough truck. I love it. Thanks.

haha

now that that is outta my system, welcome. could you be more specific? i wanna guess a fuel problem. anything from clogged injectors, clogged fuel filter, fuel pump dying.
it could be your spark plugs need replacement.
i'm not sure if you have an idle adjust screw but i'm sure some of the other expirenced members will help out once they stop laughing at you title.

Welcome to RF!

Could it be the IAC valve? You could try cleaning it, and if that is the problem, just buy a new one. Cleaning t won't solve the problem in the long run.
