Mornin'

What's up guys? Gabe here in central Kentucky. I dumped my last B2300 for a Corolla when I had a boy and needed a back seat. Last year I decided it was time for another Ranger. Around January of last year I started reading this forum and looking around for a Ranger. I looked, argued, and haggled for about three months before finally finding it in March. I bought my 2000 XLT supercab, 3.0, manual, 2WD, with 101k miles from a soldier in Clarksville TN. The interior was the worst part of it, but I've since fixed that. It's needed a lot of maintenance but mostly stuff that won't have to ever be done again. Gutted it, pressure washed the interior, Peel N Sealed the inside, Polk Audio DXi571 3 ways all the way around, Kenwood KDC-X598 head unit, and I should be installing a sub and amp in the next month or so. Changed an O2 sensor, plugs and wires, ball joints, Callahan (that's right) rotors and pads, added a Reese hitch, new Firestone Destination LE2 235 75 R15s (just in Dec,) and of course the University of Kentucky front license plate (How bout' them cats!) Next will be new sway bar linkage, (I have one being held on with a rubber hose and hose clamp) shocks, I'm thinking Bilstein 4600, adding a rear leaf spring because it sags with a 30 pack in the bed, and then I'm thinking exterior lights. I would like to add a valance and HID fog lights, new reverse leds, and something in the way of headlights. I've cleaned the stock headlights and added a $60 set of halogens, but they still suck.

I've put 26k on the truck since March so it's more of a home than the house. I think that has you all up to speed. it's nice to be posting instead of observing. I've got pics of about everything I've done if anyone would like to see them, but I think there is a thread for all of it already. My son says I should get paid to talk about my truck. I don't know about all that, but between my Father, Uncle, and a couple buddies I've worked on a Ranger or two. I'm not a mechanic, but I can read and you guys have all helped tremendously. Hope I can contribute one day.

Gabe
