Truck is looking good! Nice job! Engine bay is spotless!

Suggestion for the headlight haze. I just redid mine with the Sylvannia headlight restore kit. Best thing I've used so far and I can see out the headlights now. Mine were hazed liked yours and this is what they look like now. So much safer at night. I found it easier to take the whole headlight housing out and redo them in the sink.

Nice truck! I use the blue magic headlight polish & sealer from time to time. I need to do that again lol.

Thanks!

Update:

An oil leak from the drivers side valve cover appeared. It's small, but it's anoying me. I ordered felpro valve cover & upper plenum gaskets to take care of it. And while there, see if I can find a small exhaust leak I've noticed on the same side. Hope it's not a cracked manifold.

Not much done to the truck. One of the wiper linkage bushings failed and had to replace it. Been putting it to work hauling concrete, sand and stone bags, blocks & more stuff for some construction work at home. The Ranger has performed great!

Update!

Got this exploder cluster for $45 😁

I'll put LEDs as well.
The driver's side washer nozzle arrived yesterday and I installed it today. The one it had I couldn't unclog it no matter what I did to it so it was sent to the trash.

Ordered a set of NGK platinum spark plugs to see if it solves the cold start missfires it does sometimes since I don't know if they"ve been serviced by the previous owner.

Update

Truck still has a slight miss. I replaced the wires with the ones the 96 mustang had since they look fairly new. I had a hickup with the 5 & 6 wires switched. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Switched them bac and runs. Still misses sometimes. I'll order a new set later and be done with it.

New plug wires installed. It runs good. I cleaned & paited the rear drums. Parking brake was sticking on the right wheel. I gave them a cleaning too. Too much brake dust was in there and I loosened the brake adjuster a bit. No stcking at the moment.

I got these for cheap so I used them lol.

Took out the drivers seat to try and jerry rig a fix for the foam that colapsed/broke and was making a mess on clothing. Managed to open the seat covering & sliding some foam pieces I had saved for this kind of situations. There were some rods in the backrest that were broken and I fixed them with some steel wire. Next would be putting the seat covers I've been saving for it. Guess it's better than nothing and the seat feels way much better now.

Battery was acting up so I replaced it with the one in the Mustang GT. It showed only 12.3v after even an hour of driving. All is good now lol.

Guess I found the rough idling problem.

I replaced it with a metal one I had saved from the explorer 5.0L intake I put in my Mustang. Fit like a glove.

Ran smooth when I started her up.

Runs quite good now. Still has a rich exhaust stench and little rough idle when warm sometimes but no CEL. O2 sensors may follow next since they look very old.

Update

Scuffed out the surface rust that was on the roof and sprayed a few coats of rattle can 2x dark satin blue. At least it will stop the corrosion for a while. It has developed some rot in other places. Like between the drivers side doors upper latch anchor area is located. I'll address them in the future.

Update!

06+ mirrors are done. Looks way better with the chrome mirror caps. I ordered a new switch since that's why they didn't work in the first place. In case someone needs the color combination for the wires. Passenger side were the same colors as the mirrors since it wasn't oem.

I started the replacement of the valve cover gaskets since I've had it with the oil leak. Also threw in an Accel coil just because lol. I'll finish it tomorrow since I want to clean & paint the intake plenum.

Upstream 02 sensors done. Passenger side was FURB. The other one was fine, but since I got both new Motorcraft units it went into the bin.
