New to the forum

Hi all, I am new to this forum, but not to Rangers. I started my Ranger fetish in 2000 with a 99' XLT standard cab with a style side. Then I got a 00' XLT ext. cab 4.0. That was a great truck and I am still kicking myself for getting rid of it. After going the F250 route for a time, I just got a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 ext cab. I totally love this truck. I am looking forward to the conversations and knowledge on this site.

Welcome

Welcome to the forum, Warren. My 99 is similar to the one you had. I had all the F250 fun I could stand at 8 mpg, the thing is parked awaiting flushing spoiled gas from the system, replacing rusted out brake lines, and getting a working window motor in the driver door. The motor is fine, the gear spins on the shaft.

I had the 6.0 Powerstroke. I really liked the truck, just didnt really like the truck. I know, it dont make no since. I loved the fact that I could haul or pull anything. I liked that I could take the whole family in one truck for camping. I didnt like having to park it and I really didnt like to fill it. The final straw was 3 bad gears in the transfer case and a cracked front axel.

I have always loveed the rangers though and will be keeping this one forever.
