Thanks! I'm from down south in St. Mary Parish. Are you from Louisiana?

 

Yep. I'm up north, just outside of Shreveport. We've had a few guys from Louisiana before, but I've been the only active one for awhile. Good to have someone that's somewhat local again.

 

Oh alright, I'm going to be up North for college next fall at LA Tech in Ruston! It's funny how the first person I meet on here is from Louisiana as well! Plan to be posting more pictures of my truck, my profile pic is an old one.

 

Awesome! I'm a 2013 LaTech alum - Mechanical Engineering. I'm in Ruston all the time. It's a great town and a great school. You'll love it. If you ever need anything while you're up there just holler.

 

That's what I'm planning to major in! I loved that school so much and the town is so nice! Thanks I will do that!

 

The school has an outstanding ME program. If you went on a tour there, I'm sure they showed you the Eco-Car. I was on the team that built the Roadster car (all red with the black roof and black Tech logo on the front). I'd definitely recommend joining the team. It's a really big time commitment, but it's also very rewarding and a great way to get plugged in with other students and professors.

 

Yes I was able to see it! It looks awesome and the MPG sound great too! Thats what the tour guide told me. I'd give it a try once I settle in and get use to the transition from high school.

 

Yeah, it's definitely a big transition to make. Take your time settling in, and it'll all work out well for you. The biggest thing is to not let any of it intimidate you. If I can make it through there, anyone can lol
