Hello everyone and thanks for allowing me to become part of the Ranger-forums Family. I look forward to learning and maybe helping some of you with issues I've had. Here's a quick rundown about me and my truck. I've recently became the owner of a 1999 extended cab 2.5ltr 5 speed 2wd
Oxford white grey interior XLT Ranger. With only 120509 miles showing on odometer and 52,000 on the engine. It started life in Massachusetts and yes I checked underneath for rust, which it did have some surface rust but nothing major. Pressure washed it and sanded down what needed to be sanded then undercoated the underside twice. At some point the factory bed was removed and a custom one off wooden bed with 1in metal frame and factory tie downs bolted in. I'll try to get some pics up as soon as I can. Only have 300 dollars for the truck which it runs and drives barely, will get into that in the proper thread. Now for me 8m 48, married 20+ years to the love of my life. I was a OTR(over the road) truck driver for 24 years until October of 2014 at which time I reluctantly had to file for my disability which I received after fighting for it for 3 and a half years. I was ran over by a car when I was 2 and technically shouldn't have worked at anything because of the injuries I received from that incident. My back is a mess and all my organs are a bit screwed. Long story short I once was 5'10" but now I'm 5'7" due to disc fussing together and I have to take immune deficiency medication on top of my regular meds just to keep from catching a cold much less the flu. I'm a cancer survivor times 2 but lost 20 percent of my liver which I was needed every inch of it I had. I own my own little piece of the world. Lived in North Carolina all my life with no plans on leaving. So once again I'd like to say thanks for allowing me to join the forum
