Hey everyone. I have a red 07’ XLT Ranger super-cab just hit the 120k mark. Bought it in 2020 at 108,000. Just had the spark plugs replaced, transmission filter (had a heck of a time with that one), fuel filter, some seals got replaced, and new coolant connection which was leaking.. all replaced. Runs real nice now but I guess whenever I try to treat my truck nicely it likes to annoy me in another way. Now I have a knocking noise coming from my passenger side dash board somewhere. We determined it’s not the engine or the transmission. We don’t know what it is. It’s really annoying while driving it just want it to go away. If anyone knows what it could be let me know. But it treats me good besides that. Anyway thanks for reading and have a good one.
Good looking truck!
Welcome; lots of friendly knowledgable folk in these forums.
Ticking\knocking from right dash?
Have your excercised the 4x4TransferCase+ShiftMotor+ConModule lately?
ConModule makes a relay clicking sound when it shifts, but usually only momentarily.
ConModule+ShiftMotor are notorious failure items, so maybe.
The 4x4 control module is behind the radio, I doubt that's it.
I'm thinking while the spark plugs were being changed, the vacuum line to the heater control may have been cracked and it's the door to the vent selector moving around.
Does the heat or ac come out the proper vent while this clicking is happening ?

Yes the A/C comes out the vents as should and the heat and cold air comes out fine. When I popped off the glove box and put the stethoscope there to pinpoint it I heard the clicking noise. At time I noticed it goes in and out.
