New guy with a 1992 Ford Ranger

Hello all, my name is Wiley Robinson and I live in El Paso TX. I recently inherited my father's 1992 Ford Ranger. It's only got 79,000 miles on it but needs some stuff done to it as my mother let it sit mostly from 2000 until now.

Yesterday I had a pretty scary incident with the brakes failing (I'll post my questions about that in the tech section) so I'm hoping to get some good info here.

I'd like to keep the truck going since it belonged to my father. I'm not stranger to working on cars but this one is a little bit new for me (yep, I consider 1992 to be a new car, most of my other ones are around 30 years old).

Hey, that's great there are other Ranger Forum members here in ELP. I've got to figure out what happened to my brakes yesterday. They were fine and all the sudden all sorts of weird stuff happened to them.

Yea, I've got a laundry list of stuff to fix already. Right turn signal doesn't blink, gas gage doesn't work, headliner hanging down. It runs good though, I drove it here from Georgia.
