New Guy 1993 Ranger Second Owner

Hey Guys New to the forum Had My Ranger now 16 Yrs. still Has the Original Engine in it. Got 687 thousnd miles on her still going strong. i'm having a problem now this the first time this happen to me but my pilot bearing disintegrated so i went to put a new one in and it will not go in past the fly wheel can some tell me some options i don't want to damage it.but it just won't go in. how far in is it suppose to be if anyone can help i could use it

I think you need to call up 'ol hank from the grave and get him to put this in his museum, that is an unbelieveable amount. but in any case, what engine is it?

It's a 2.3 liter i use lucas oil and 20/50 in the summer 5/30 in the winter i change my oil every 2000 eventually i will have to replace it soon

As for the pilot bearing. Mine wouldn't go in on my 89 Ranger either. I had to take a small file and some fine grit emery cloth and wrap around my finger, and sand until it went in.
