New guy with a 99 3.0

Hey there everyone. My names Keith and I am new to this forum. I stumbled across it by looking for info on power programmers. I am 32 and have recently went back to college. I have had my 99 XLT for almost 5 years now and haven't done a thing to it. I figure it's about time I stop neglecting my truck and puting al my time and money into my bikes.

I just got all my parts in and am getting ready to install everything. Nothing crazy just some bolt ons. Doing new tires ( stock 245/70/16 ), shocks, vacuum lines (4x4 hubs included), Cat back Magnaflow, K&N CAI, Accel coil, Accel wires, AutoLite double platinum plugs. Changing all the fluids and flushing cases.

For now the last thing I want to do is power tuner. I don't want any custom tunes right now, until I change my pulleys. I have been reading through some of the posts and am very happy to take any advice I can get.

Hey Keith,
Only thing I could tell you far as tires if you do alot of highway driving I would stay away from the Hankook ATM's. I now there cheaper and look like a good tire but I have nothing but problems. I get that vibration and steering wheel shake between 55-65, 70 miles per hour. I only had them a month and am fighting with the vender on trading them up to something better. I had them balanced twice so far and it hasn't made a difference. I went on there sight and noticed some reviews with the same exact problem. I also took a look on some other forums for honda and toyota and some are haveing the same complaints. It seems to just be with some of the smaller trucks. Take it for what it's worth but I think there's some type of issue out there with them.
Good Luck....
Dale...

Thanks for the heads up. I will actually be putting GoodYear Wrangler Silent Armor's on. It was those or the BF Goodrich AT's, but found out I will always be balancing the BF Goodrich's because of the tire style and the ranger suspension. Plus I can use my Sears card and make payments on those freeing up much needed money for the other goodies.
