New guy, new truck

Hi,

My name is Joe, and I am in the US Air Force. Been doing this for a LONG time.

Anyway, I am currently deployed in Afghanistan, and a week ago I custom ordered a new 2010 Ranger. It's a XLT Supercab 4 door 4X4. 5-speed Manual, Skid plates, and Heavy duty Suspension with the Rancho shocks. Also got the front "Slush" mats. Everything else is stock XLT.

Oh...it's Oxford White with dark grey interior.

The twin cities plant will begin assembly of my truck in about a month.

Hope to enjoy my time here.

~Joe

I'm working at Bagram.

thanks, for the nice comments. I got the truck the way I wanted it....wasn't too happy about no limited slip rearend being available for 2010...and I wanted a 2 dr. supercab, but it's not longer avialable, so I had to go with the 4-dr. Still get the 3.73 gears.

BTW, no more FX4 for 2010.

P.S. I was stationed at Minot from 2003-2006. LOVED it up there. Logged a many mile on my Harley around there. Rolling golden fields in the fall.

I wasnt paying attention if you got a 4wd or 2wd but you can always put in an explorer axle on a ranger(a lil bit of work) to get 4.10 gearing and limited slip.

hehe.....yeah, no sweat.

I ordered a 4X4. Since it only comes in a 4-dr Supercab for 2010, I got the XLT, and the only options I got were the 3 skid plates and Heavy duty suspension with the Rancho shocks.

I wanted a 3.73 Limited Slip, so maybe later, if it really bugs me, I'll just get the Limited slip carrier, and swap it in.

4.10's are sweet in the hills.....but on the highway, the MPG is gonna suffer BAD.

Ordered it through AAFES.

Again, thanks for the welcome!

"RedRocket" what kind of lift do you have? didn't it screw up the driveshaft alignment, etc.?

Are you running 10.5X33's? Like the flares

I'm pretty sure he just has a body lift, so no, no change in the driveshaft alignment.

I'm hoping you got a limited slip differential in the back. Judging by the other options I'm willing to bet one of the option groups included a l/s.
