Hi, I just bought my first Ranger. It is a 2002 Edge 4x4, 3.0L, 5-speed. The amazing part is the vehicle has 280,000 miles and drives like it has 80,000. It was a one owner and the guy drove it very long distances. Great service records. I hope I made a good decision. It is actually for my 17 year old son, so he should not need to put that many more miles.

Unfortunatly we have owned it for four days now and the clutch master cylinder is leaking inside the cab. Good thing for rubber flooring! So here I am on this forum for help.

now would be a good time to replace the master, slave, clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing if you dont have a record of it being done recently.

the master can be replaced by itself, but it must be pointed upward to bleed it effectively. meaning, install the line, point it upward and bleed it, then install it into the firewall. also, the rubber floor has jute on the back side of it. you should remove it and clean under it if any fluid spilled.

theres a few people with more miles than you. one guy has more. his truck should be in the junkyard though...he cant read or write too well so on the occasion he posts....you know it haha
