After lurking here for at least a couple of years, and being a member since April 2014, I figured I should do a first post. I have a 1997 XLT 2.3 5-speed I bought used in 1999 with 50k miles on it. It never, ever lets me down, and it always goes down the road without complaint. Thanks to the information in this forum's posts, I was able to spend a productive three hours Saturday pulling the bed and replacing the filler neck, fuel pump strainer and float. It's very nice to not worry about somebody's stray cigarette butt blowing up my truck, and to have a working gas gauge is truly a blessing.
