Just got my first Ranger over the weekend, a 2003 Edge, 3.0L v6. Been lurking on the forums for a while as I was shopping.

You have a 3.0l OHV Vulcan engine, used in Rangers from 1991 thru 2008

If Manual trans then its an M5OD-R1(M5R1), used 1988 thru 2011
If Automatic then a 5R44E model, used 2001-2008, but overall 1986 thru 2011 as different model numbers, but same trans inside
