I'm new to the forum, my name is Randi...I have a 2000 reg cab flareside with a 2.5L that I am in the process restoring.. I'm looking for a clean bed tub or replacement bed cross sills for the very front and the one behind the rear axle.. So far I new front fenders, a new tailgate, new carpet, headliner already installed, took the seats apart, washed the covers and installed heated pads, 2 din stereo...I rebuilt he complete front end, new 3" drop coils, replaced the rusty radiator core support, new rad, new ac condenser, rebuilding a 8.8 trac loc rear end for it, cleaned, painted and reworked the leaf springs, new 2in drop shackles and hangers, poly bushings... I have about half the frame wire wheeled clean and coated with KBS and bed liner coating... I have new old skool style 15x8 and 15x6 torque thrust wheels for it. This is going to be my warm weather daily driver when I'm done.. I was contemplating doing a turbo LS 5.3l swap but I think I might just do a turbo on the 2.5L if I can find the right parts just to give it some pep and keep it reliable without constant tinkering..

Welcome to the Forum Randi

Merry Xmas

2.5l Lima is a very reliable engine, and Rangers are reliable trucks, so good combo

car-part.com is a good site to check for used parts in your area

LMC truck has a good selection of new Ranger parts

Yes, adding a turbo to the Lima engines is popular choice, 5psi boost gives alot of "pep" without too much stress on the stock parts of the engine, some say 7psi is OK

Thanks Ron, This little truck was on it's way to being scrap metal if hadnt got it when I did.. I didn't plan on doing this much work to it when I first bought it but after going through the truck I found a lot of things I didnt see when I looked at it...so it was either fix it right or wait til it completely fell apart.. When it's done it should last me a long time and look pretty good too.
