Retired in Georgia

I am an older guy who has had his 2001 4x4 ranger for 10 years. It still looks good and I enjoy it. The only significant problem that I have had with it is the 4x4 would not engage, last year and again recently. Last year it was the control module - would not work if cold. Recently it was the switching motor. Just noticed that the seals around the ball joints are bad so I will be trying to get information on changing them.

Replace ball joint seals

Have any of you done this? How much work is it? What problems can you get in to? What does it usually cost to have it done?
