New Owner of a 2000 Trailhead
New Owner of a 2000 Trailhead
Well, not quite an owner yet, I cut the deal yesterday and will finalize Saturday.
It is a 3.0 5 speed regular cab Trailhead with 217k. The motor was just rebuilt by the seller who has a solid rep for refurbished Rangers in our community and the trans feels tight. This truck will be going to my 15 year old daughter and will be her introduction to the wonderful world of manual transmissions.
I hadn't heard of the Trailhead before and came across this forum while researching it. After browsing around a little, this looks like an active forum with a wealth of info and it looks like it will be a good addition to my toolbox. I will certainly be searching the boards but any advice on good places to start is welcome.

welcome to the site.
the trailhead ranger is the precursor to the ranger edge, for the sake of making parts easier to find from parts stores and whatnot i personally just search for 2001 ford ranger edge 2wd as my vehicle. they are good solid trucks and from my experience it will go anywhere you want and i have yet to get it stuck (mind you i know to stay away from nasty mud and deep sand because it is a 2wd afterall)
