Uh, no. The only engine available with the Trailhead option was the 3.0L pushrod Vulcan.

Interesting, I thought Trailheads didn't come with an automatic transmission.

I believe that seller is an "eBay Seller's Assistant", and is most likely listing that truck for the owner.
The only Ranger 3.0L available is the 3.0L Vulcan, which is an overhead valve pushrod engine.
I also wouldn't refer to a Ranger as a 1/2 ton truck, that usually denotes a full sized truck. The Ranger is more of a 1/4 ton or simply a midsized or compact truck.

It does look like a decent truck though, too bad it's not a stick.
Too far away for me anyway.

There were a just few additional standalone options available with the Trailhead. Automatic was one of them.

didn't the trailhead come with a silly little symbol of a road and a sort of tree on the lower right side of the tailgate?

hmm.. but why would you want a 4x4 trailhead if you could get a regular XL/XLT 4x4?

The trailhead had a funky little decal with a spirally swirly thing that said Trailhead.

Trailhead sticker on the left, FFV emblem on the right, next to the Ford emblem.
