Hi folks. Just purchased a 2011 Ranger XLT Shadow Grey from the "no haggle store". Mechanics and body are in mint shape @ 32,000 miles but the previous owner was a serious chain smoker and hard on the interior fabric so I plan to redo carpet, seats, headliner, and door panels. I'm leaning towards replacing the light grey with dark burgundy (figure it'll compliment the dark grey and give it that custom look). While working it I'm also going to add sound insulation and a 7" double din system with Android lollypop or marshmallow. Any input is taken under advisement and appreciated. Good to be here and thanks for checking this post out.

I'm looking at that option. Personally I like cloth seats because of how cold it can get up here in the winter time but I am a big leather fan, dabbled in a lil leather working myself at times. I have found a salvage yard close by that shows some promise on the seat and console. I'm also pondering the overhead console as well.

Thing is, I'm working on some color themes, most likely I'll reupholster what I put in the truck. I've found a place to buy the seats but I'm waiting on some fabric samples before moving forward. Let's not forget, I've only had my Ranger for 1 1/2 weeks now. Given the smoke smell in it I do know all the fabric, carpet, headliner, door trim and seats have to be redone. I'm studying up and formulating a plan of attack now but when the trumpet blows I'll charge in to battle. Thanks for the input on this BLACK06XLT. Once I start the actual work, I'll post pics and write ups. Oh, one other thing, with the color being Shadow Grey, I'm thinking about changing the chrome to black chrome.

That's just a lil bit more than a day trip but could be worth the visit sometime.

Maybe.....Towards end of summer we could scare up a rally with other members in Indy and catch up there?

I know your seats have airbags in them. I am not sure if you have to replace them with seats that have airbags or somehow modify new seats????

I found a set of Ford issued service/repair manuals online. I came off the $200 for them, seems they're getting scarce. I'll verify the air bag issue when they come in.
