a quick bit about me, i am 19 and ive had a lot of vehicles for my age and join a forum pertaining to each vehicle, plus i just like forums, im a member of a forum for every interest in my life haha... from mustangs ( my first car '68 mustang ) to blazers ( 75' blazer ), aquariums, computers to body building, i am a member of over 15 Fourms :)

anyway, im posting here because i want to get your thoughts on this Ranger i might be buying, ive had my eye on Rangers for a long time and i found a deal...

My next door neghbor has a 2000 Ford ranger Edge for sale, he said he was asking $4000, but said he would sell it to me for $2500...

its a 2000 Ford Ranger Edge, 4 liter V6 (130xxx), 5 speed manual, 2" lift kit, single cab, it has a system (idk what kind ), 33" wheels, billet grill. i Test drove it yesterday and its awesome, i really like it... now i just need $2500 :/

He is selling it because his grandson just joined the Navy and he said he can sell his truck cause when he gets back he is just going to buy a new truck.

the ONLY thing that is wrong with it is that the air conditioning is busted, but i rarley use air conditioning any way and i can probably fix it no problem. any input would be appreciated...

 

$2500 for a 2000 4.0...All I have to say is congrats...Scoop that up before dude changes his mind...Sounds like he could easily get 4k for it after August heat is over.

That's definately a 2001-2003. They didn't start making the Ranger Edge until 2001. But I'd get it for sure for $2500, that's a steal. The 4.0L SOHC in a regular cab will be a fun truck, especially a 5 speed.

 

our next door neighbors are good close family friends and they said they will hold on to it and sell it to me unless i say i cant get it...

i have a 2000 4 door focus right now, im trying to get about $2300 for it... i have a couple ads on craigslist right now but nothing as of yet, but i just but the post up last night.

im really excited about getting this truck, it will be a perfect first truck! :)

Yeah it's for sure at least an '01. It's all so kinda a rare combo having the 4.0sohc, 5 spd, and reg cab. Pick it up quick.

hey wow, thanks for all the kind words guys...! im way stoked about getting this truck, i just need to sell my car or borrow $2500 from someone :/ im working on it, im hoping i will have it by the end of the week, but we will see....

can anyone tell me about the motor? is it a good engine? is 130xxx miles a lot for this engine? how much power does the engine put out?
