New from VT

Hi from Vt!!

Picking up a replacement to my 2003 Mazda 2wd ex cab bought new (sold at 239K and pretty rusty) I bought this week. 1999 Ranger ex cab 4.0 with color matched cap. 77K miles on the rust free body and 20K on a brand new Ford installed block. Saw the truck parked on a my delivery route last summer and left a note stated I'd be interested if they EVER wanted to sell. Well sad side of the story the owner passed and his sister called me. Seems he left a note stuck to mine in his desk stating if he were to die and no one in the family needs the truck to please call me. Never met the fellow but he loved his truck and the condition shows. So his picture and the note will ride in the truck with us.
Looking for a few ideas to do some gentle mods to make the truck stand out. I don't want to lift because it tows my boat. I was thinking General Grabber 31"s and aluminium buds. Switch to a 2002 honeycomb grill, nose, bumper with fogs, and powerdome hood with a small non functional hood scoop color matched same green. Keeping it simple but my ears are open....

Welcome to the forum! Nice truck you've latched onto! There are a BUNCH of things you can do to this beauty; Explorer overhead console, custom dash lights, auto-on headlights, auto-dim rearview mirror, accessory circuit delayed off, etc. The list is endless. Just cruise around the DIY sections and you will get plenty of ideas. You mentioned tires and wheels... you appear to have a really nice set of 16" wheels and Hankooks already. Anyway, see you around the forum and by all means, have fun!
