Hi Everyone!

Just purchased a 1997 Ranger 2.3L 4x2 AT. Purchased from the original owner's nephew as the owner passed. Only 110k on the odometer and it looks like the gentleman paid it off in 2006 with just under 90k miles. I plan on using it to run back and forth to Lowe's and for my 18 year old son to borrow.

I was going to give it to my son, but after giving him two cars in the last 9 months I just couldn't stomach another one. First car (Kia Sportage) he rolled into a ditch. 2nd car (Dodge neon) he ran out of gas and left it on the side of the road- totaled by a drunk driver. Thank God he was safe both times, but my patience is wearing thin.

I am actually a VW nut (turbo not air-cooled) and have a fairly modified 2009 GTI. I picked up a lot off of the forums for the GTI (golfmkv and golfmk6.com) and from the neon forum (neon.org). Hope to lurk and find some good info here.
