Newbie!
Hey y’all, happy to be here! My name is Josiah and I’m just getting into the Ranger game with my 2011 XLT V6 4x2.
Definitely gonna be looking for ideas and advice on how to modify my Ranger to perform its best without making it a Dune Truck😂 Any advice and tips are appreciated and I look forward to any and all discussions on the forum.

You can get your 2011 PDF version Owners Manual here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...1-models-3747/
And 2011 Ranger brochure here: https://www.therangerstation.com/art...ger-brochures/
Both good to have and look thru
Your 2011 has rear disc brakes, only came on 2010/11 model years
You have a 4.0l SOHC V6, needs to have the 2 long chain tensioners replaced every 100k miles, not hard to do, only use Motorcraft(Ford) tensioners
If automatic then its a 5R55E, follow service guides, install 2nd trans cooler, if it doesn't have one, best $65 you can spend on any automatic transmission
If manual its a M5OD-R1HD, this manual transmission uses ATF, yes, automatic transmission fluid in a Manual trans, NOT GEAR OIL
On the drivers door, back edge, there is the Build Label, take a picture of it
Lots of info on your trucks specifics, month/year it was built, springs, axle, color codes, tire size, ect...................

Wow, thank you so much for all of that information, I will put it to use immediately!
I’m at 87k and about to be doing a drive shaft reseal, real axle housing reseal and trans fluid flush and filter replacement.
