Newbie with my new to me 2007 FX4 level II

Hello gals and gentlemen! I just picked up my “new” to me ranger a couple of weeks ago, I am happy with her besides her trying to stall at idle otherwise good, I loose my bed to check my fuel gauge reading backwards but unlucky I couldn’t hold it by myself and felt forward and snap one of the fuel vent 😡 so a new fuel pump asy unit is on my way 😁 May be this will fix my stalling issue at times 😁 plus she has 320 k km so she deserves anyway.
I will take advantage and spray my bed and chassis with some rust proof paint and then use rust check her again ( I just did it when I got her 2 weeks ago)
well I will be asking for how to do some repairs any time soon nice site so far!! Cheers!!

Where you attempting the one man bed pivot trick? I've seen YouTube vids on it. My idea was attaching some ratchet straps to the front of the bed. Pulling the front four bolts but leaving the back two in 3/4 of the way unscrewed. Then hooking the straps to a solid object like a tree or rafter in my garage and slowly pulling truck forward until it lifts up enough to access the pump.

Yeap that’s what I did try but not luck, after I break the plastic nipple then I call my boys 😁
so I took advantage and got some chassis paint and here is the finish product, I did use a couple of brushes since my neighbourg cars are next to mine to avoid any spray on them.

here is already put back together and also with new fuel pump asy, now I got my reading working properly!😁😁
the only thing I had and is driving me crazy is when I am filling up my tank it stops every seconds!! I can not just press the handle to pump all the way so it takes forever to fill it up!
anybody has same issue?

Sounds like the vent tube inside the filler hose isn't hooked up correctly. It may have come out of it's holder.

nope it is good in there, are you talking about the little hose next to the filler neck and filler hose? If it is that one is good clamps are good too. May be my solenoide is bad on the canister on top of the spare tire mount?

I own multiple trucks, so can't remember for sure what the inside of a Ranger filler hose looks like, but on some trucks there's a plastic vent tube inside the filler neck, and that is what I'm referring to.
