Ranger Noob
Hey Guys, Gals; how are y'all? (Hope all is well!) As you can tell, I'm new to the Group -and am excited to be here!
I recently purchased a '99 Ranger XLT 4x4 4.0, that I am totally in Lust with... lol. I am
I have already started some Minor Modifications that I think are a little slick & will include some Pics of them. Hope you like , and have Other ideas and / or suggestions (I'm ALL Ears!)
My 'Goal' for this Pick-M-Up is to make it a "Switch-Hitter" in that it can take the Rough Country but still be Practical in the City. (Not so "High" that it kills the MPG or the Stability/Balance. I really dislike that "Swaying" effect when taking Corners in the City.) So no Lift Kit for me.... Mainly because I feel that the Height is good enough for Most Off-Road endeavors.
So my desire is to put some Rough Country or Rancho Shocks; a Snorkel Exhaust; Bull Bar w/Lights & 3500-4000# Winch; and [maybe] even a Rollbar. When it's all said and done, the paint will be likened to the Camoflauge Color of Flat Brown. (I chose this Color because with Prior experience of having used this Color with other things, I know that it is Insanely Durable, and Unbelievable Concealing in Darkness. (No, I am not a Criminal looking to evade police -lol- I just follow National events, and realize that we may need to Bug-Out.)
I've already put some Hoop2 Steps on it (Don't laugh too hard, my Lady was complaining about how hard it was to get into. So I 'had' to...), and have made some progress toward the Paint Mods. (I 'wish' that I would have done some Up-Close "Before" pics; but I wasn't thinking that far ahead.
