Hey gang, So in October 2019 I went down to North Carolina to pick up a ranger that stood out to me. So far I've had some unfortunate repairs but I've also been chipping away at doing some things myself. In the 5 Months that I've owned this Ranger I have grown to really appreciate it as an automobile.

I do carpentry and it's been a huge help with doing that kind of work!

I figured with being a new owner and having limited knowledge about Fords this community might be a good resource to help me with technical and Ford specific needs! So I'm glad to be able to join the forum, and I look forward to getting to use to seeing a couple of you fellas around here.

Nice looking Ranger, and good primer coat of paint
All Rangers are RED as the final coat of paint, so any other color is just a Primer coat..................in my opinion, lol

Remember to include the year of your Ranger and engine size with any questions
Also manual or automatic, and 2WD or 4x4 can matter depending on the question

I Will be posting soon about the truck's paint... There is something odd about it. As if someone tried to do some work to it and used the wrong thing... It is discolored in a strange way. I will take pictures and write up a post soon..

I also have scratches I would like to fix...

Most of the parts seem to be original.

 

Is it the clear coat coming off? do you have a picture of the area affected?
