Round about way newbee

How did I get here? Well it started with my step-daughter buying this 1993 Ranger but for some reason she can't drive a stick shift (or won't in my opinion). Anyhow she traded for her mother's 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee with over 260,000 miles which I had bought and maintained since 85,000 miles and her mother loved driving the Ranger but she needed something with a few more seats in it so I bought her a minivan. Anyhow I have kept the poor old thing despite many offers on it and have it for backup in case any of the other vehicles break down or need maintenance that requires it being out of commission for a while. I was driving a 1998 f-150 until I started to have a antifreeze leaking problem so now I have taken the old Ranger out of standby mode and it is now my daily driver until I replace antifreeze plugs on my f-150. Before I could get this ugly beast on the road I had to fix the rear tail lights. It seems that whoever had it before us had installed trailer wiring and the wiring had burned so I had to remove that and now the lights work except for reverse (I already have that solved, reverse switch on trans, I used a paperclip on connector to verify juice in wiring). Another thing was a burned out bulb in drivers side rear, so I replaced that. After changing the bulb is when I noticed that the tail light lenses looked weird. I took a closer look and saw the lens on one side was the wrong one. What was the po thinking when he put that on? There are other things that aren't right either like no button switches in the door frame for the interior light(s). Dash panel is a different color (tan), should be red. , and other miscellaneous nickle and dime grabbers. Well at least the engine compartment doesn't look like it has been messed with so that is a plus. It's a good truck just needs a little tlc. Its a fun little truck to drive and I'm sure to be using it for a while.
